Celebration of Founder's Day in Ramjas College

Ramjas College Founder's Day was Celebrated on 17th Jan 2012 in main garden of college where the statue of Late Shri Lala Rai Kedar Nath Ji is situated. The celebration was stated with a Havan and concluded with the distribution of prashad. Most of teachers, students and working staff attended the Event.

Born on 17th January,1859, Rai Kedar Nath ji was a man of keen intellect and an irrepressible zeal. In words of his colleagues, he was a true "karma yogi" and was compared to none other than Pt. Madan Mohan Malviya Ji. He was a beacon of light and left no stone unturned to dispel darkness of ignorance prevailing in the society. He resigned from the post of Session judge and made a significant mark in the annals of history by devoting himself to serve the cause of education. He established temples of learning i.e. The Ramjas Schools to set a new awakening in the society in the sacred memory of his dear father, Late Lal Ramjas Mal Ji.Rai Kedar Nath Ji’s saintly personality was a center of attention for one and all. His glowing example of altruistic social service and pursuit of his ideals had a deep impact on his countless social co-workers.
