Important Dates

This year the Undergraduate admissions in University of Delhi will commence from the 5th of June 2013. Registration of the candidates who wants to apply for the 4 yearUndergraduate Program (FYUP) will begin from 5th June and will continue up to 19th June 2013. Unlike Last year, a common Pre Admission Form (OMR) will be required to be filled by the Students of all categories (Gen/SC/ST/OBC/PWD) who wish to seek admission in Delhi University.



 Availability of Application Forms

 The common Pre admission form (OMR) will be made available both online as well as offline.


 Types of Pre Common Admission Forms (OMR)

 There are two types of Common Pre admission(OMR) forms one for General and OBC candidates while the other one for the students of backward categories like SC/ST/PWD.


What to fill in Forms ?

In the Pre Common admission Form on "Side A" you have to fill your Name,Category, Gender,Board, Year of Passing,Date of Birth, Pincode, Board Roll No,Status of Result, Marks in different Subject (if Result is announced otherwise left them blank) and on Side B you have to choose the courses in which you are interested (You may also fill more than one course) this time the choice of colleges is not available like the last years so you don't have to fill desired colleges in the Application form. Apart from this, from this year DU is also asking some other questions like family income per year, type of Schooling, location of your school to gather some data about the type of students coming to University of Delhi which will helps them to make new plans for the university, although these columns are kept optional in the Application Form.

 How Apply online ?

To apply online, one can easily fill the application form available at the official website of University www.du.ac.in with online payment by using debit or credit cards.
To fill the form, first of all you have to create a user Id by using your email Id and Phone number, then you have to log in into your account then fill the Application form and save it, if you want to complete it then click on next and pay online and hence Complete your online submission.


How to apply offline ?

 DU has allocated 18 different centers for sale and submission of Common Pre admission forms(OMR) across Delhi.
What is the Application Fee ?

For online Submission

Rs: 50 for General/OBC Candidates
Free for SC/ST/PWD Candidates

For offline  (Prospectus + Application Form)

Rs: 100 for General/OBC Candidates
Rs: 50 for SC/ST/PWD Candidates


From the difference in application fee, it is clearly visible that DU wants to encourage the online mode so that students and their parents don’t have to face the heat as well as the crowd.
Also those who are outside Delhi could easily apply for the admission without coming to University. So don’t forget to enjoy the 50% discount by apply online if You are a student of General and OBC and Category.

1.) There will be no pre admission forms at the college level for the UG admissions. 
2.) For ECA/Sports and Hostel Accommodation application forms are to be collected or submitted to the concerned college.
3) There are also some extra eligibility criteria for different college so if you going to take admission Please don't forget to check these Extra Eligibility Criteria.
